Pileus thin, broadly convex, umbilicate, 2.5 cm. broad; surface glabrous, shining, grayishbrown, margin decurved; lamellae rather crowded, slightly rounded behmd, adnexed, yellowish! becoming flesh-colored; spores broadly ellipsoid or sub globose, even, 6-8 X 5-6 /x; stipe equal or nearly so, glabrous, stuffed, whitish or pale-yellow, about 2.5 cm. long, 2-3 mm. thick.
Type locality: BUis, Massachusetts. Habitat: On old stmnps in swampy places. Distribution: Massachusetts.
