Diagnostic Description

Hind tibiae without apical spurs; basicosta without strong setae; third antennal segment with at most an acute dorsobasal angle; wing without a dark pattern; frontal callus, as wide as the frons; labella unsclerotized; callus usually wider than high, without median callus; usually pale beach-inhabiting species; frons about 2.8 times as high as wide; apical flagellomeres longer than basal flagellomere, the latter as wide as long; median abdominal stripe a series of contiguous triangles, the sublateral spots large and diffuse.
