Neobisium maritimum is a species of pseudoscorpions in the Neobisiidae family.

Description

The species are 3.2 millimetres (0.13 in) long. It has two pairs of eyes that are positioned at the front of the cephalothorax. The colour of it is black, with orange-red claws.[1]

Distribution

Maritime Western Europe.[2]

Habitat

It can be found in rock crevices, and under stones.

Habitat

It is present in the outer region of deep crevices from the level of spring tide to the bottom of the Fucus-Ascophyllum zone. It is knwon to feed on collembola. Silken nests are made within the crevices which hold bubbles of air when submerged.
