Isbrueckerichthys saxicola Jerep, Shibatta, Pereira & Oyakawa 2006

Found usually on the bottom among rocks and stones in a small creek flowing through a landscape of mixed open fields and riparian vegetation, sometimes with a very degraded margin. The stream has rocky bottom with small to medium-sized rocks, loose stones and gravel, sometimes with sand and mud on the small pools bottoms, and has clear to turbid and moderate to strong flowing water (Ref. 57731).

Isbrueckerichthys saxicola is a species of armored catfish endemic to Brazil, where it is found in the Tibagi River basin. This species grows to a length of 8.77 centimetres (3.45 in) SL.
