An extremely slender body (Ref. 51287). Both jaws with conical teeth; lower jaw with only a single short row of 8-10 fine sharp conical teeth (Ref. 51287). Pectoral fin with a flexible spine and 11 rays (Ref. 51287). First branched ray of pectoral and pelvic fins distinctly longer than other rays (Ref. 51287). An elongate caudal peduncle (Ref. 51287). Caudal vertebrae more numerous than abdominal vertebrae; 17 peduncular vertebrae (Ref. 51287).
