Description:
Description: Western aster (Symphyotrichum ascendens syn. Aster ascendens), Aster family (Asteraceae). Slopes of Mount Wolverine, Alta, Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah. Looks like this species takes dozens of overlapping forms, grows everywhere from valleys to alpine meadows and ridges and is very difficult to tell from other Symphyotrichum species. Date: 7 August 2015, 21:30. Source: 2015.08.07_09.30.11_IMG_0095. Author: Andrey Zharkikh from Salt Lake City, USA.
