Description: head robust; lips thickened; frontal profile more concave than in congeners; nuchal hump often present in both females and males, though better developed in the former; swimbladder reduced (Ref. 52307).Coloration: body pale to dark gray; some silvery spots may be visible on the body scales, but always much less developed and much more faint than in L. congoensis; blackish margins on body scales form a pattern of dark lines running dorsally to ventrally (at an angle)(Ref. 52307).
