Codakia orbicularis (Linnaeus 1758)

Codakia orbicularis is a species of mussels in the family hatchet shells. Dead Codakia orbicularis form shallow marine sediments. Individuals can grow to 75 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They are facultatively mobile animals.
