Gari stangeri (Purple Sunset Clam) is a species of bivalves in the family Psammobiidae. They are native to New Zealand Exclusive Economic Zone. They are surficial modifiers. Individuals can grow to 48 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They are facultatively mobile animals.
