Polygonum aviculare (Knotgrass) is a species of annual herb in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Santa Catarina, Paraná, Mata Atlântica, Minas Gerais, SãO Paulo, and Rio Grande Do Sul. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Eumerus funeralis, Platycheirus scutatus, and Honey bee. Individuals can grow to 0.26 m.
