Symphyotrichum chilense is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, and The Americas. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Yellow-faced Bumblebee, Ochlodes yuma, Vanessa cardui, and Phyciodes tharos. Individuals can grow to 0.99 m.
