Shepherdia canadensis (Buffalo Berry) is a species of shrub in the family Elaeagnaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, United States, Western North America, Alaska, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Flower Flies and Hoverflies, dagger flies and balloon flies, and 2-spot Ladybird. Individuals can grow to 6 feet.
