Prison Goby

Die Tronkdikkop (Caffrogobius gilchristi) is 'n vis wat endemies is aan Suider-Afrika en vanaf Kaapstad tot aan die noordkus van Mosambiek voorkom. In Engels staan die vis bekend as die Prison goby.

Voorkoms

Daar kan tot 16 vertikale swart strepe oor die lyf wees; gewoonlik in pare en onderbreek op die sylyn. Die vis word tot 15 cm groot.

Caffrogobius gilchristi is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van grondels (Gobiidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1898 door Boulenger.
