A low shrub 5-S dm. high, branching at the ground, spreading; branches canescentstrigose and with numerous glands; leaves 10-12 cm. long; leaflets about 51, broadly elliptic to rounded, obtuse or retuse, 1-6 mm. long, the upper ones very small; stipules 3-5 mm. long, narrowly lanceolate, deciduous; racemes short, crowded, 1-2 cm. long; bracts linear; calyx cylindro-campanulate, angled, very glandular, about 3 mm. long; teeth triangular, acute, densely villous within; stamens exserted; style sparingly hirsute.
Type locality: Five miles north of Winslow, Arizona. Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
