பாறைப் பல்லி இது (அறிவியல் பெயர் : Hemidactylus acanthopholis) கெமிடாச்லு (Hemidactylus) என்ற பல்லி இனத்தைச் சார்ந்த உயிரினம் ஆகும்.இப்பல்லிகள் இந்தியாவில் தமிழ்நாடு மாநிலத்தில் திருநெல்வேலி மாவட்டத்தில் மேற்கு தொடர்ச்சி மலைப்பகுதியில் காணப்படுகிறது. காவி நிறமுடைய இந்த பல்லி 20 முதல் 23 சென்டி மீட்டர்கள் வளரக்கூடியது. ஆனால் அதன் பின்பகுதி கருப்பு நிறக்கோடுகளைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இதன் மேல்புறத்தில் திட்டுத்திட்டான பாலுண்ணிகளைக் கொண்டு காணப்படுகிறது.[2]
