Protomyctophum tenisoni és una espècie de peix de la família dels mictòfids i de l'ordre dels mictofiformes.

Morfologia

• Els mascles poden assolir 5,4 cm de longitud total.^[4][5]

Depredadors

A les Illes del Príncep Eduard és depredat per Arctocephalus gazella i Arctocephalus tropicalis,^[6] i a l'Illa Crozet per Aptenodytes patagonicus.^[7][8]

Hàbitat

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes.^[4]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a tots els oceans de l'hemisferi sud.^[4][9][10]

Protomyctophum tenisoni est une espèce de poisson-lanterne (famille des Myctophidae).

Protomyctophum tenisoni is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van lantaarnvissen (Myctophidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1930 door Norman.

Protomyctophum tenisoni ışıldakgiller ailesinden Güney Okyanusunda yaşayan Protomyctophum cinsi bir balıktır. Erişkinlerin boyu 5.4 cm.ye kadar ulaşır. Sıcaklığının 5 °C olduğu daha kuzey bölgelere kadar çıkar. Derin sularda yaşar, geceleri 100 metre derinlikte bulunur.^[1]
